白いユリ/White Lily
(日本語は後に続く）We don't own a car, but my husband belongs to a car share program, so once a month he rents a car and we go on an outing. I always enjoy it even if it is just to get groceries and eat our favorite ramen. The other day was especially nice because we drove around the hilly country side and visited a shrine and an observation deck. I was impressed by the white lilies growing straight and blooming here and there among the weeds.
Right now we are in the midst of a pandemic, so it is easy to complain about politics, the economy and other things that aren't working. But I hope we can count our blessings, smile and do our best. Are we going to make excuses? Or are we going to grow straight and blossom brightly like the lilies in the weeds?
私達は車を所有していないが、主人はカー・シェアに入っているため、月に一回は車を借りて一緒にお出かけをします。お買い物をして大好きなラーメンを食べるだけでもいつも楽しいです。先日は田舎の山道にドライブをして神社と展望台を訪れたから特に素敵でした。あっちこっちの雑草の中でまっすぐ伸びて咲いている白いユリに感銘を受けました。
今はパンデミック中において、政治、経済や上手く機能しないことに関して文句を言うのは簡単です。しかし恵（感謝できる事）を数えて、笑って、ベストを尽せることいいね、とおもいます。私達は言い訳をしますか？それともまっすぐ伸びて明るく花を咲かせますか？雑草の中のユリのように。
