朝のサラダ/Morning Salad
(日本語は後に続く）To go with our morning toast, I prepared a green salad and yogurt. I tried to make the salad look like a morning sun, but I am afraid it looks more like a wagon wheel! I used baby leaves and broccoli sprouts with a little "ponzu" for dressing and topped it with kanikamaboko and corn. The yogurt is served with sliced plum and apricot jam. What is special about this is that the apricot jam was made by my mother's friend who writes English Haiku!! There are many ways to enjoy the seasons and cherrish the time we share together.
朝のトーストに添えるため、グリーンサラダとヨーグルトを作った。サラダを朝の太陽に見立てようとしたけどどちらかというと馬車の車輪みたいになってしまいました！ベビーリーフとブロッコリースプラウトを使い、ポン酢で軽く味付けしてからコーンと可児蒲鉾をのせました。ヨーグルトにはプラムのスライスと杏子のジャムを添えました。何が特別かというと、ジャムは俳句を英語で書く母の友達の手作りです！！季節を楽しみ、一緒に過ごす事を大切に味わう方法は沢山ありますね。
